Children and Student Ministries

Sunday School Classes start at 9:30am

These age groups are a guide, children can be placed in the class that is comfortable with their development and friendships.

- Kinder Class is for children pre-K to 1st grade
- Primary Class is for children 1st grade to 4th grade
- Junior Class is for children 4th to 6th grade
- Youth Class is for children 7th to 12th grade

When it comes to our Youth classes, we are calling all this our S.T.A.R.S. Program

Our STARS youth program is based on Philippians 2:14-16. “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation’. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” We desire to teach our children to know and hold fast to God’s Word so they may know, love and obey Him. In doing that they will shine like stars in this dark world we live in. It is not easy to live as a Christian and we want to give them all the help we can! So with that in mind our programs for our youth will revolve around the following.

Sharing the Gospel and our Lives - The main focus will be to share the good news that Jesus died for our sins because of his great love for us and offers salvation to all who will repent of those sins and follow him. This will be done in the context of sharing our lives with the students, developing relationships that promote trust and caring for one another.

Talking with God - Prayer is a vital part of a thriving relationship with God, so it will be taught and modeled often. We will pray together in class and we will pray for our students outside of class and encourage them to pray for each other throughout the week.

Activities - Relationships are built on time spent together, so we will do fun things together! Whether during class time, pizza and game nights, hiking, picnics at the park, whatever, some of our time will be spent enjoying the blessings God has given us in this world.

Reading the Bible - Naturally we will spend time reading, studying, teaching, even memorizing God’s Word. We want our young people to learn how to handle God’s Word consistently and correctly, having it hidden deep in their hearts.

Serving one Another - While we want to serve our youth, we also want them to learn to serve others as well and make a difference for the kingdom. We will give them many opportunities to reach out and help others as a group and encourage them to find ways to serve individually.
